Donald R. Ostrom was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in November 2023. Judge Ostrom earned a Bachelor of Science in 2000 from George Mason University, a Juris Doctor in 2003 from Capital University Law School, and a Master of Laws in Military Law in 2009 from the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s School. From 2003 to 2023, he served as a judge advocate in the U.S. Navy, which culminated in his service as the Circuit Trial Judge, Navy and Marine Corps Trial Judiciary in Norfolk, Virginia. From 1990 to 1995, Judge Ostrom served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Judge Ostrom is a member of the Ohio State Bar.
