From 2004 to 2006, he was an attorney in private practice, in Los Angeles. From 2003to 2004, he was an attorney with the Law Offices of Michael J. Gurfinkle, in Glendale,California. From 1996 to 2003, he was an attorney with the Law Offices of John C. Nelson, in Newport Beach, California. From 1993 to 1996, he was an attorney in private practice, in Pasadena, California. Judge Malvin is a member of the State Bar of California.
