Attorney General Jeff Sessions appointed Hye Y. From 2006 to 2018, she was an assistant chief counsel with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Los Angeles. From 2011 to 2012, she servedas a special assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California in Los Angeles. From 2002 to 2006, she was an attorney with the California Supreme Court in San Francisco. From 1999 to 2002, she was a deputy attorney general with the California Office of the Attorney General in Los Angeles. Judge Chon is a member of the State Bar of California.
