From September 1997 to September 2000, Judge Geisse served as a trial attorney with the Department of Justice, Civil Division, Office of Immigration Litigation. She worked previously at the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) as an attorney-advisor for the Chief Immigration Judge from September 1996 to September 1997. Judge Geisse first joined the Department of Justice through the Attorney General's Honor Program with EOIR in 1995 serving as a judicial law clerk for the immigration courts in Baltimore, Maryland; and Philadelphia and York, Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Maryland Bar.
